So you’ve established the importance of generating a steady stream of online reviews for your business, and you’ve got buy-in from head office to invest in review generation software. Great!

Now for the tricky part: what do you say to your customers when you ask them for a review? Well, my first tip might come as a surprise: you don’t ask them for a review. That’s why the review email templates I’ve prepared below actually take the tack of asking for feedback instead.

This is because the best reputation management software won’t encourage you to ask customers for a review straight out of the gate, and will instead allow you to first request feedback that the customer is then encouraged to leave as a review.

It’s a softer touch, and a slightly longer process for the customer, but trust me, it works, and this helps you get around the prickly problem of review-gating, too.
